In January 2015, Catalyst released its 2014 Global Census report on the percentage of women sitting on public companies’ boards of directors.[1] The report revealed that the percentage of women on Canadian boards increased to 20.8% in 2014, from 13.1% in 2011.[2] While the 2014 report only analyzed the number of women on the boards of the companies listed on the S&P/TSX 60, Catalyst’s findings are promising.
